It is an absolute honor for me to have one of my pieces in the Johan Cruyff institute in Barcelona. Have my portrait of Johan with some of the most iconic personal objects is really special for me.
I can only be thankful to Jordi Cruyff for inviting me to visit the building and express his gratitude and the important that was for the family to have this artwork for them. I didn’t hesitate to donate the portrait to the family.
They told me how I was able to capture Johan soul and his look to after put it into the paper. For me is an special painting since I am been my entire life a F.C. Barcelona’s follower. Johan paint with the ball and I paint with my brush. He was an artist in the way that he create a new way of seen football.
Again this is one of the experiences that art has given me along my career. The way that you can connect emotionally as an artist with people through your art is a gift.
